Interview with Serge Bredewold by Dutch Jazz duo Rolf Delfos & Bart Wirtz.

Serge Bredewold is a Dutch bass and double bass player that was born in a typical Dutch town called Hoenderloo. Serge studied jazz at the Conservatory of Zwolle and pop at the Conservatory of Hilversum. Combining those two studies Serge has a very interesting background with a lot of variation and many different experiences. He won a very important Dutch music price ‘de Grote prijs van Nederland’ with the band La Lupa in 1990.

He is involved with theater productions, television productions, club tours, radio sessions and studio sessions. With names such as Ruth Jacott, Danny de Munk, Jan Smit, Ilse de Lange, Nick & Simon, Trijntje Oosterhuis and many other artist.

Not only does he play for other people, he also composed his own CD together with Geert Leurink under the name The Real Centimeters in 2012. Mixing, composing and producing the CD by themselves. Besides all that Serge also teaches bass at Conservatory Artez in Zwolle.
